It is a Sin to Kill?

As much as I hate violence, I found myself enjoying movies like Sin City and Kill Bill, both Vol.1 and 2. Both movies are narrated by parts, which also means, the various characters die a detailed and long death. I was told why they die, where they die and how they die. *shivers* The antagonists will die eventually, it's all a matter of when and how. The protagonists, they cannot all survive can they, because violent movies need some tragic elements too. So, the protagonists try to die for a cause, causes worthy of their untimely deaths.

Revenge. (It never fails as a bankable theme for 2 hours of action and killing) When people do you wrong, do you, like Marv and Beatrix Kiddo, go on a savage rampage for the blood of your enemies?

Sacrifice. For your loved ones, is there anything too much or too difficult? How about giving up the most precious thing- your life? John Hartigan did it, so did Marv and Beatrix.

Justice. We try to believe that it is present in this crazy world we live in. Whether it gives those people what they deserve or not is another matter altogether. But guess what, even if it fails us, there is always Karma waiting at the end of the journey. Roark Junior, Bill, Vernita Green, O-Ren Ishii and Budd, now you guys know why you got shot, stabbed, bitten by black mumba or more creatively, die of an exploding heart or got the cap of your skull sliced off don't you?

Why can't everyone just be good, kind souls? So much blood and gory, got to write some pure, innocent and hopefully, insightful chinese essays to cleanse my uberly-horrified but ridiculously awestruck soul...
