I cannot really remember what happened during lessons today. But I do remember what happened after school.
I remember how a student who likes to blabber nonsense and disregard instructions helped out during decorating of classroom and even showed concern to another classmate at one point in time. Actions I don't really see in lessons. I was reminded again, to look and think beyond the surface.
I also remember egging on some students to play with and prance around bubbles and them doing as they were told. Were they humouring me or was it self-entertainment? It doesn't matter. For it was a good show and everyone present had a good laugh, forgetting our troubles temporarily.
Then 'bam', it's back to the endless pile of work and hectic schedule.
It's these short-lived and unstructured interactions which are truly precious.
