Ignorance is Bliss

Escaping did cross my mind but it is a privilege I don't have.

The more I see and hear the heavier my heart is.

And they say the unknown is to be afraid. I say sometimes, the known is even scarier. For there is hope in the unknown, and many possibilities, but on the other hand, knowing kills hope and leaves little to imagination.

Truth hurts, lies worse. I'd choose truth over lies anytime. But what happens when both sides insist that their contradicting statements are true?
