The Ripple Effect of Change

"Change" is the current hottest word. Funny how refreshing and promising this word turns out to be when spoken by this person. Throughout the history of mankind, or I should say, right from the beginning of time, "change" is one old topic that always gets rejuvenated every now and then, just like how it is now.

We hope for changes when the present disappoints us. But "change" remains as "change", a mere lifeless word unless actions are taken to carry it out and turns it into reality. Don't be mistaken though, we can't possibly put all our hopes on a single powerful being and think that changes are going to happen based solely on his efforts. It is true that someone has to be the initiator but once the ball has started rolling, it is up to everyone of us to keep it rolling, and most importantly, keep it rolling in the right direction, at the right speed. In other words, we all have to follow the changes and change. A good change will then lead to another good change, just like a drop of water causing ripples in a water body.

That's why "we can" follows behind "change" which is turn, follows behind the name of the person who is about to shoulder the heavy responsibility of being the initiator of many future changes. Cheers to that brave soul!
